We (ny chowhounds) have been dining at Cafe Maxx in Pompano Beach since it opened about 15 years ago. It's our favorite in the Pompano Beach area because it's the closest thing to the "NYC high end but casual vibe" we prefer, plus it has a solid wine list. Because recent events have caused us to take many extra trips during the past 2 months, and because, this coming weekend, we're staying on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale rather our usual Westin on Cypress Creek Road, I'm thinking of trying out a different place for dinner on Sunday night. I've heard alot about Mark's Las Olas. How does it compare to Cafe Maxx?
