Markets in the Financial District

Egg | Apr 17, 2002 08:48 PM

I'm looking for a decent, or a couple of decent, markets in the financial district. Say, Fulton St. to the Battery and the Hudson to the East River. Quality is paramount. Fair prices would be best. All around markets as it were. Meaning, they've got a bit of everything. I went to Jubilee today but at the time I was there it was filled with NYU students at lunch. (There's a dorm at 99 John) and I just couldn't deal with the rush. Although I like the idea that they're open 24/7. I hear an Amish Market is opening soon near West St. I'm particularily interested in something closer to the West Side (including Battery Park City) if something exists. I'm a walker so I'll deal with whatever I have to. Thanks mucho for any input.
