Best Market, Tribeca [split from Home Cooking Tuna Salad post]

small h | Nov 14, 201606:25 PM     4

<i was at the deli counter at the Best Market...>

Based on some positive online reports, I checked out the Tribeca location today, which was - and please pardon the expression - a shitshow. The produce is about $.20/per pound cheaper than the nearby Whole Foods, but also a lot - A LOT! - more beat up. The seafood counter stinks (literally) to high heaven. There are a few bargains to be had in canned goods, but overall, the place seems pretty much on par with your average Key Food. Why do people like it?
