Market review -- drinks & apps

Went to Market last night in Stamford for drinks and appetizers with some friends. We enjoyed it. I didn't get a chance to peruse the wine list carefully, but they seemed to have a number of wines by the glass.

The atmosphere is very sleek and modern seeming -- more a Manhattan-style place. I like that the windows/doors open up in the summer.

We had a delicious homemade gnocci with fresh peas, watercress and pea puree. We had nonna's meatballs. A little crock of about 5 very moist meatballs (they almost fell apart) in a very tasty tomato sauce. Comes with some grilled garlic bread. We also had the fried artichokes with a delicious lemony aioli. Finally, we had the school of tuna. It is tuna 4 ways -- carpaccio over a rice ball, sashimi style with a citrus sauce, tartar on a chip of some kind and searted with guacamole and pico. Good, but hard to share.
