We have been buying marinated skirt steak from the Market Basket for a few years but tonight it dawned on me that we need to start marinating the skirts ourselves if we are ever to satisfy the children! We were five adults and four children ages 4, 4, 6 and 7 - two girls and two boys, and I swear that they consumed at least 2 lbs of meat! We started by grilling two skirts just under 3lbs because two adults were having salmon and how much the kids would eat? All was gone in no time and the kids were hungry; the last 1+ lbs came out and were all consumed by the kids!
My question is: Have any of you try to replicate the amazing Market Basket marinade? It is so very tasty and tenderizing the tough cut perfectly. Let's brain-storm and come out with an awesome skirt:)
