I haven't seen any posts about this new bakery/cafe yet. Stopped in for breakfast yesterday and was very happy I did.
Husband & I shared a plum-oatmeal scone and a breakfast pizza. The scone had a nice nutty flavor to it, just the right amount of sweetness, and chunks of ripe plums. I'm not a scone connoisseur so I can't compare to many others, but I thought it was very tasty.
The pizza was made to order, so it took about 15 minutes to come out. Homemade dough was topped with an egg, lots of nice fresh tomatoes, a sprinkle of shredded cheese (some sort of Italian cheese, couldn't tell exactly which), and a drizzle of pesto sauce. Again quite good but it really needed salt.
Also had a really good fresh OJ. With a coffe and a cafe au lait, total was around $15. Atmosphere was sort of funky, loft-like. Plenty of tables, although a line was forming as we left. It's located a few doors down from Mary Cheung's.
