Marigold Kitchen, at Home

Bashful3 | Jan 30, 2006 09:18 PM

I treated myself to two weeks of food from Marigold Kitchen during my recovery period from knee replacement surgery.

What a treat! I loved the food they sent over: double portions of carrot/cashew soup, French Lentil soup; chicken "stew" with baby yams, collard greens; sous-vide marinated lamb that just needed a light broil to be super tender and juicy; intresting grain/carrot mixture; salad fixins with lovely mustard vinagrette dressing; tiny lamb sausage wrapped in lettuce leaves; oh yum.

My hubby, the non-chowhound was heard to say, "That was a perfect meal"; "that's the way lentil soup should be" and similar comments of total satisfaction. Won't have any trouble getting him to take me to Marigold Kitchen for dinner after my recovery!

This treat did my spirits a lot of good, and Marigold Kitchen sure pulled together "easy" but tasty meals for us.
