Why, oh why, can't we have a decent steakhouse in Tallahassee? I think Marie Livingston usually wins "Best Steakhouse" in Tallahassee Magazine, but give me a break.
While their lunch, particularly BBQ, is great, and their yeast rolls and fresh cut French fries are decent, the steaks have a yuck factor.
They are marinated to a fare thee well in a Worcestershire sauce but perhaps that is the only source of flavor. My 12 oz. strip was totally devoid of flavor, and I swear that, had I been blindfolded, could not have told you what I was eating. (I had asked them to drain the marinade from my steak).
There was a strong rumor of Ruth's Chris coming to town until the legislature cut back on what lobbyists could spend on meals for them. We could use a Ruth's Chris or Fleming's about now!!
