I know this place has received both good and bad reviews on this board, but I'd just like to give an updated review.
First, don't expect authentic Mexican food like you'd find at the Taquerias lining 5th Ave. in Sunset Park. Nor should you go in expecting an upscale dining experiance ala Rosa. The food is flashy but overall fairly simple.
What we had last night - vegetarian plate ($9.5) consisting of two potato taquitos, a hunk of fried cheese, rice, beans, and some grilled cactus. All basic and tasty, served with a healty dollop of guacamole and crema fresca. Vegetarian taco ($2) tasty grilled vegetables with the surprise addition of broccoli. Weird, but good. Chile rellenos taco ($2) was tasty, but the winner was the barbacoa taco ($2.75), which was well grilled, nicely spiced, and not funky at all. Two avocado margaritas ($7) rounded out the meal - these taste similar to regular margaritas (which are really good there to begin with) except they are slightly creamier and have chunks of frozen avocado strewn throughout. (Quite tasty.)
The sizzlin' molcajete dishes are pretty tasty as well - had the chicken one a while back and was quite pleased.
