Marco's Italian Cold Cuts - Woburn

This is a small Italian deli in Woburn Center next to Tre Monte. I used to work in the area and ate there on almost a daily basis. I popped by today for lunch for the first time in a year or so. I wanted to let people know how good their meatballs are. They serve them in subs and over pasta. This is an ideal homemade meatball IMO, large, flavorful and very moist. The owner gave me the "family recipe" for them one time - so I make them myself too. Give em a whirl, I'm sure you'll love them.

They also sell all types of subs, pieces of calzones and they have a salad bar. Veal cutlets are also great. One thing I was never impressed with there was the pizza, I'd steer clear of that.

Prices seem to have gone up since the last time I was there too. I guess that comes with all the commercial growth Woburn center has seen over the past couple of years.

PS: If your lucky enough to be there when they are serving stuffed calamari for lunch, do indulge!
