Marconda's disappointment

I bought a prime Spencer Steak yesterday at Marconda's Butcher Shop in Farmer's Market. Sixteen dollars a pound. I cooked it perfectly medium rare tonite. It was tough, dry and flavorless. It was not even as good as the typical grocery store "Choice" grade of meat. Has anyone else had this problem?
