Managed to get a Communauto and ride out to Marché Lian Tai in Ville St-Laurent yesterday. It's definitely worth the journey, especially if you are looking for Taiwanese or Filipino food items. I was hunting around for Indonesian sambals, bumbus and krupuk and found a handful of things that used to be sold when the same shop was Marché Hawai, but quite a lot less. Nevertheless, the selection of frozen and other ready made items is pretty astounding, lots of vegetables and fruit, big bags of rice and a nice selection of hot food to take out as well. There's also a little Lebanese section and I got Italian passata on sale for 99 cents.
