Maple Yip - a quick update... verdict - still consistently great food!

Charles Yu | Nov 12, 201611:20 AM     5

A long overdue re-visit to a 'packed' MAPLE YIP yesterday night. Food still consistently great. The perfectly steamed whole Florida spotted Coral Garoupa still peerless within the GTA.
BTW, please avoid Sheppard between Vic Park and Warden! Took me half an hour to get through! Three lanes down to one, due to road paving!

Deep fried baby smelts with peppered salt - crispy, addictively tasty and greaseless.

Stirred fry Dungeness Crab with Ginger and Scallions. Nicely seasoned but gravy just a touch too starchy

No body does it better!....Pefectly steamed whole Florida Spotted Coral Garoupa.

Braised Pork Belly with Chinese Preserved Mustard Greens ( aka Mui Choi Kao Yuk ). Tender and sweet and surprisingly non-greasy

Braised Duck Webs with Chinese Shitaki mushrooms - off the bone tender and delicious

Full of wok-hay goodness stirred fry pea-shoot

Complimentary dessert soup of Chinese red dates and barley.
