Tried the Express Lunch today at Mantra (Temple Place, Boston). As it was a real business lunch, did not find out much about my friend's food, but mine was very good. Vichysoise (sp?) to start was not too cold and the spicing was subtle. Salmon was a nicely cooked smaller filet, almost undercooked, very tender and moist. Again, subtle spicing. More interesting, however, was the fact that the place was almost empty. We arrived shortly after noon, and there was no one there. A few minutes later, a single person arrived. Finally, at about 1:15, a group of six arrived. That was it. This deal is not going to last long at this rate.
