Manna Dew Cafe, N. Dutchess--good healthy

Went for the first time yesterday to the Manna Dew Cafe in Millerton, which used to be a health food store with take out and a few tables and is now just a cafe.

With some delight I can report that it has what the area has needed for the longest time (and which you can almost take for granted in the city)--healthy, fresh, tasty food. The lunch menu is mostly wraps, panini, other sandwiches, smoothies, salads, probably soups in winter, but definitely on the high end of that. I had a most excellent avocado-blue cheese-salad wrap, homemade salsa and chips on the side. I had trouble picking, cause everything sounded appealling. Planning to go back soon.

One caveat: they exhibit the classic health-food fondness for gnarly chunks of raw carrot. A minor flaw. If you're touring around and want a nice lunch, try it.
