There's an ad in the Staten Island Advance for a new restaurant called Manila Alley (1864 Clove Road, 718-556-45161) Has anyone been there yet?
The ad says "Visit the trendiest Fil-Am place in town."
This is just hyperbole, isn't it? What would make an ethnic restaurant trendy or non-trendy? And how can one self-define as trendy?
