We will be visiting New York in Mid-December for 5 days and have been studying everyone's input on this board. We plan to do a lot of walking and to take the subway to get around. Without specific restaurant recommendations, what are the different areas in Manhattan for different ethnic foods? Are there specific enclaves? For example, I gather that Lower Manhatten would be Chinese food and Italian? Or is this a correct assumption? I read here that there is a Korean row near the Empire State Building. What about Puerto Rican? Cuban? Jewish? Maybe these are scattered all over. I suppose we may have to go to the out boroughs for specific enclaves. Can we do it in Manhattan only? We're trying to plan our days so that we can be in different parts of manhattan each day. So much food and so little time!!! Thank you in advance.
