Manhattan to Charlotte transplants looking for newbie advice!

saregama | Jul 15, 201702:13 PM     13

My friends are relocating from Manhattan to Charlotte, and we've been discussing the transition from the perspective of foodie New Yorkers.

So I thought the best thing to do was to ask the advice of fellow chowhounds. (They will read past posts on the Charlotte board, of course, but this is more the new-to-town top-down summary question.)

Looking for CH-Favorite Restaurants - not just the ones that are easy to look up on lists on Google or Yelp, but those other ridiculously delicious ones that CH is so great at uncovering and discussing. Special focus on ethnic foods and non-regional foods.

Broad question, so thank you in advance for your help!

They'll be living in Southeast, not far from near Colony & Fairview.
