Mangia & Bevi - SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

Hi Chowhounds,
I went to Mangia & Bevi on Friday night with my SO and another couple. My SO had eaten lunch there a few times and had declared it the best pizza that he had eaten in Toronto. (He just moved here from Italy 4 years ago). We arrived at 8.30-9.00, and there were only a few tables occupied.
Menu is short, but well executed. A few apps, a few pastas, but the majority is made up of pizzas. The apps looked like your standard Italian fare; nothing really jumped out at me so I bypassed it and went straight for the pizza. Although, after one of our party received their Insalata Caprese with Mozzarella di Bufala, I wished I had ordered something too. The cheese was extremely fresh. There was a huge mound of arugola that was lightly but well seasoned, and the tomatoes and mozz were encircling it. It was huge and declared delicious.
I decided on the pizza mediterranea which consisted of tomato sauce, tuna, red onions, black olives (beware; they still contained their pits, but I didn't mind) and sundried tomatoes. One person ordered a Margherita and the other two went with the Tirolese which was a white pizza with mozza, spek, brie, and arugola.
The pizzas arrived and they smelled and looked fantastic.....AND THEY TASTED EVEN BETTER!!! Please note that I love a thin crisp pizza...if you prefer a chewier texture to the dough, you may not be as enamoured by it. As mentioned, the pizza was perfectly cooked, not overloaded with toppings, and incredibly crisp, to the point that when you tried to fold it in half, it would explode a little (a piece went flying across the table). It was just delicious, great sauce, great combo of toppings. The Tirolese was declared really good as well and was hoovered back quickly.
We then ordered some house made tiramisu for dessert. It was really good; not spectacular but a well made piece of tiramisu.
Overall, with 2 one pint Steam Whistle beets, 1 half pint S.W., a big bottle of water, 1 insalata capresse with bufala, 4 pizzas, 2 tiramisus, and an espresso, the total was $97.00 with tax but before tip. I think that is astounding value for what we got!!!
I really recommend this place highly!!! The place is nice, cozy but hip vibe, a good neighbourhood type place.
