Had reservations for 6:15p.m. tonight. My husband went to the car to get a bottle of wine while I went directly to the restaurant. The place is extremely small, but only 1 table was full.I told the waitress I had reservations and she proceeded to walk me to a table in the the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen with an unpleasant view of a narrow hallway. I politely asked if we could have another table since the place was empty. She said no because the place is full with reservations.I sat down wondering why my reservation didn't deserve a better located table, but said nothing. My husband arrived wine in hand and said to the waitress we need a better table. She mumbled something and begrudgingly gave us another table in the front.
By 7pm we were finished our meal and only one other table was filled. Where were all those people she was saving the tables for? Why was she willing to accomodate my husband and not me?
The incident put a damper on my experience and I won't return. I guess they don't care about making a customer feel comfortable.
About the food. The mussels and arugula salad were tasty. My farfalle with chicken and artichokes in a pesto sauce was excellent. My husband's penne with crabmeat and beans(?) was lacking flavor. If they were more accomodating with the table switch I would have stayed for coffee and dessert, but I just wanted to leave.
