We had a good nostalgic thread on the Man Fook Low restaurant, but I can't find it anymore on this board. They were at 9th and San Pedro St., in the old part of Chinatown, near the huge produce market.
The food was the closest taste to the fare that I had during my residence in Hong Kong. During the 1960's, many UCLA and USC professors liked to eat there. Better than any of the places in the modern Chinatown are, and also significantly cheaper.
