Just got back from lunch. Excellent XLB. My favorite has always been J&J - for a basis of comparison. I think these were as good, perhaps even juicier. The filling was great, very flavorful, the broth was perfect, the wrappers large and pliant enough to hold plenty of juice. Superb XLB. Maybe I was just lucky and got a particularly good batch. I'll reserve final judgment until I go again, possibly sometime this week.
The pan fried dumplings - war tiep gau (or something like that, I can say it but I can't write it) - were good, but nothing special. Both J&J and Mei Long Village - as well as MaMa's on New Ave. for that matter - have better.
A green onion pancake was nice, thin and somewhat crispy, not too oily.
Service was excellent and friendly. $11.90 for everything described above, with tea.
