Does this exist or was the author just joking, the below is from the NY Times:

On Jonathan Gold’s Los Angeles
By SAM SIFTON

Today’s Internet brings us news of the publication, in LA Weekly, of Jonathan Gold’s “99 Things to Eat in L.A. Before You Die.” It is an epic read, a 15-click Los Angeles fever dream that starts with blowfish at Urasawa in Beverly Hills and ends with maple-bacon biscuits at Huckleberry in Santa Monica.

There are requisite stops along the way: at Lou for a wine lecture from the eponymous Mr. Amdur, for instance; and at Jitlada for Suthiporn Sungkamee’s crazy fish kidneys. And of course there is red meat for the trolls: a declaration that Langer’s has better pastrami than any available in New York; a pointed exclusion of Pinks.

Readers will offer other cavils: Where are the Antarctic taquerias, with their salted, fiery tacos de penguin? And surely it was an error that a favored Maldivean vegetarian stall in East Pasadena failed to make the list! But it is in the main a terrific, exciting read, and a convincing followup to Mr. Gold’s recent Saveur magazine cri de couer, in which he wrote that Los Angeles was the best place in the world to eat.
