Malaysian sauces in Woodside

Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone in the area. The Chinese supermarket across the street from Donovan's started selling a whole line of Malaysian dry or paste sauces for a quick meal (next to the live fish tanks, by the cash registers). I picked up a couple last week but only cooked them up last night - I cooked rendang (beef) and Tom Yum soup (chicken). Both resulted in as good as I'd get at a Malaysian resto, if not better. I should've picked some less chewy meat for Rendang to save some cooking time, but nevertheless the result was mmm good. Tom Yum was good too - I watered it down a bit (the recipe only calls for a litre of water) as it was a bit too soury, but still good. $2 for a jar, if you want to take a short cut instead of mixing your own spices.
