malaysian in london

So I just had an absolutely amazing meal at Satay House -- -- on Sale Place, in Paddington, and was wondering if others had advice on more good Malay food in London?

By 7pm, Satay House was jam packed with (mostly malaysian) customers, which I took to be a good sign. The Nasi Lemak, 7.50, was really great. Spicy, flavorful, I was extremely happy. For dessert, I ordered the Pisang Goreng (Banana Fritters). Less exciting than the Nasi Lemak, but still quite tasty.

A few nights ago I ate at Mawar, the downstairs smoke-hole on Edgware Road (around the corner from Satay House), and it was cheap, but I wasn't so thrilled. Three visually similar curries, from a "point and choose" collection of lamp-heated vats, over rice... not so great. The Gado-Gado was extremely lacking.

I haven't been to the Student Union off Bayswater Road since I was a kid, but looking forwards to it. A lunch next week, I predict.

Any ideas or recc's would be much appreciated!
