Now that was an interesting dish off the beaten path. The beans are supposedly imported from NYC. They look almost like lima beans but taste a little like pistachios. It's cooked in a shrimp paste that they make instead of buy (chatted w/ one of the owners because I was curious what the story was w/ malaysian beans). It's sort of used like capers, so if you eat too many of the beans at once, they don't taste that great (and you understand why the menu says "strong taste") but they add something interesting to the meal.
Also had sizzling shrimp/scallops. Wasn't that good..just wasn't that tasty since it usually is cooked w/ a somewhat sweet sauce and it was a bit bland. I'm not sure I understand their logic in deveining shrimp (one of my pet peeves :-). This dish's shrimp weren't deveined, but the other dish's shrimp were.
