makoto: what does "business attire" mean?

aiyree | Sep 1, 2005 01:26 PM

I have reservations at Makoto tonight. They said that diners should come dressed in business attire. What does that mean exactly? For a man, does that mean a dress shirt and tie or a full suit? And for a woman-- do they really expect me to show up in a suit? Or is it just their way of saying, dress up if you plan on being seated here? I'm very confused. Any advice from past diners would be greatly appreciated.
