I am seeking information about Makoto. We are considering making a reservation for my upcoming birthday (a significant one). Wondering what you can tell me about the menu offerings. We love sushi, but admit that we are probably considered amateurs by Chowhound standards we tend love the basics: tuna, salmon, rolls. I am pretty adventurous myself and will try most things, but my spouse tends to be more timid and picky (and has even been known to poke the masago out the rolls b/c he doesnt care for it). Yes, I know thats terrible, but that is what I am dealing with.
Should we even bother with Makoto? What kinds of dishes are offered on the tasting menu? How far in advance should we reserve?
