Making Shrimp Scampi in Advance?

katelaine | Dec 22, 201707:52 AM     3

Happy holidays! I'm planning a Feast of the Seven Fishes for Christmas dinner this year, and would like to make shrimp scampi with pasta for the third course. The way my friends drink and eat, that will probably be about an hour into the meal. I'd like to avoid getting up and cooking (much) during dinner. Any thoughts on how this dish can be prepared in advance? It doesn't have to be scampi, either . . . just shrimp and pasta of some sort.

I have a few ideas . . . one is to do a baked pasta, and add the shrimp right at the end. Another is to do a baked scampi (no pasta), and just cook the pasta during dinner.

That said, I thought I'd throw the question out there and see if anyone else has a better idea :) Thanks!
