making rack of lamb -- need advice

I bought a rack of lamb. I haven't cooked one in forever. I will probably sear it in a pan then finish it in the oven. I remember coating the meat with mustard and breadcrumbs. Is that right? Do I sear it with the coating on or add it before it goes in the oven? What internal temp should I be going for?
