Anyone do this successfully?
I know originally it was made with raw egg white, which (when blended) made the drink nice and frothy.
But currently (because of health regs with Salmonella), they are using a supposedly super-secret dairy-derivative that provides the same foamy texture.
Any idea what this might be? A powdered creamer (e.g. Coffee-Mate of some sort)?
I used raw egg whites (along with OJ, crushed ice, sugar, vanilla, and water) and it was good (and foamy) but didn't exactly replicate the Orange Julius you find at the mall.
