They call me the Spoiled Brat because I am one fussy lady. So when I extol the virtues of a place, my friends usually stop and listen.
I admit to having my faves. Gilmore's, Jakes, Sola, and even Estia top my list.
And now I am ready to add one more.
Admittedly, this is a new place for me as I have not dined her before.
But short of the noise level, which is fairly loud on a Saturday night but not so bad that you had to read lips, this place is a total winner.
The four of us started with simply delicious appetizers from delectable scallops to a blood orange and grapefruit salad.
Then came the entrees -- mine was a wild striped bass which was superb, rib eye steak for my friend, wild Alaskan salmon with celery root napoleon for my mate which was pronounced outstanding, and alamb shank with a combo of veggies that my friend oohed and aahed over.
Two at the table went gaga for the tapioca dessert while the other two feasted on toffee pot de creme and mini doughnuts and a yummy chocolate souffle.
We brought our own wine and toasted to this wonderful restaurant that we intend to return to many more wonderful times. The service too was friendly and enthusiastic about their wonderfully presented dishes. They explained each and every one as they placed them before us proudly. They even have their own parking lot in the back of the restaurant. The quaint town of Phoenixville is absolutely charming.
