I am returning to Manhattan for a brief Christmas weekend (arr. late Sat a.m., dep. Sun. early evening) and already have reservations at Jung Sik for Saturday dinner. Last time I visited, you gave me a wonderful tip in Tocqueville (to which I wrote a brief "review" and thank-you, of sorts, but for some reason it appeared in the middle of the thread, so noone probably noticed it; http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/804960 ), and hoped you might chime in re:my lunch (brunch) plans for Saturday and/or offer an idea for Sunday (X-Mas Day) lunch/early dinner- I'll need to be @ Penn Station for 3pm-ish on Sunday. I was planning to have baccala & malfatti w/suckling ragú for Saturday lunch at Maiolino on my way downtown, where I'll stay Saturday night. I all but have my heart set on Jung Sik for dinner, but considered changing Maiolino for Union Sq.; Grammercy Tavern would be my 1st choice, but I'd rather have a res., and none available. I prefer the "lunchier" side of brunch, and could also use advice on a "lunchy" brunch (or straight up lunch/Sun. dinner) for X-Mas, preferably "in between" WTC and Penn Sta. Price isn't a huge concern, but under $100 (I don't drink) pre-tax/tip'd be best. Hope that's not incoherent or too rambling! Thanks!
