Magnet Test for Induction Cookware

Seitan | Dec 29, 201504:03 AM     6

So out of curiosity I did a kitchen magnet test on my tri-ply stainless steel Cuisinart Multiclad Pro cookware. The magnet did not stick.

The magnet stuck well on my Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware, but not the MCPs.

I was looking into getting a portable induction burner. But this failed magnet test has now got me worried that my MCPs won't work. Is the magnet test a reliable indicator?

Will my MCP pots work on induction?
