I just spent some time on the Board and seached under Madrid. Great report in February from the Majumdar Brothers!
I know I should have started earlier but we leave next week on a tiur that will give us 4 nights in Madrid (at begin and end) and 2 nights each in Seville, and Lisbon.
Iwant to find fun Chowhound type places that are not Michilin 5 star (and pricey) and yet easy to find and near enough tourist sites so not to have to take two metros to get to one (unless very special.). I guess I'm not into Suckling Pig but the jabon that's been mentioned sounds great.
Since Madrid, at least, is not laid out in a grid, I need easy orientation (don't ask!).
So if any of you are reading this soon and can list your favorite "don't miss" places for mid day or dinner (along with estimated pricing and whether reservations are needed or advised), I would sure appreciate it! Feel free to email me directly.
And I don't speak Spanish so either it would need english menu or at least a waiter who understands english.
Thanks to all!
