What a find! Rated highly in the Spain restaurant books, one Michelin Star. We have avoided it before as we thought of a "casino" atmosphere not knowing that it meant private club (but with the restaurant open to the public). What a mistake!
Fantastically romantic if you can sit outside on the rooftop terrace. Surrounded by old time-looking gas lamps (now electrified), other lit buildings with such things on top such as a chariot, a clock and cupola. It's like a fairy tale.
The chef trained under Ferran Adria at El Bulli and the food was great. Many little tastes throughout the evening for amuse-bouches and desserts. The service was excellent and friendly. Reservations needed quite a ways in advance.
