Luckily that sucky Indian restaurant (Maharaj?) on Cipriano Rd off Rte 193 is gone. The one time I dined there, I was finishing my meal right at closing, I was the last one there, and when I asked for the menu to pick a dessert, the waitress told me they were completely out of every single dessert. It was a rude way to get rid of a customer so they could close up quickly!
Now it's location 2 of Madras Palace (also located on Quince Orchard Rd in Gaithersburg) The Greenbelt location has prices $1-2 lower than Gaith. actually, and also have a lunch buffet ($8 M-F).
Also in the same shopping strip (KMart is the anchor): an Indian grocery, an African-Carib grocery, and a pretty good Japanese restaurant called Osaka (closed Sundays).
A fun thing to do when you're in the neighborhood - the College Park Aviation Museum is nearby, so is the Bladensburg Waterfront Park with free pontoon rides (late May thru Oct.) on the Anacostia River Tues, Thurs & Sats. at noon, and summer Sundays at 6 or 7 (also free concerts there that night).
