I just wanted to introduce myself...I have been reading these boards for about 2years now and have found them to be a source of great information. I have inturn posted information as often as possible under a different name. I know this not allowed but I wanted to just explain my reasoning. As a person of color who grew up thugged out and am now a responsible corporate lawyer, I see things that are occasionally problematic (classist and racist) on this board and that really offend me. I want to use this moniker as sort of a venting superhero (modeled after the Mad Rapper). I hope you will accept this as I will always be polite and responsible in my posts...
I agree with your posts regarding Light complexted people being able to cook. I was taking particular issue with her inferences about the state of People of Color cuisine in Park Slope. I would give my left arm if I could eat Noodle Pudding everyday (even if I would have to forgo my Mom's Chicken Curry). Furthermore Daniel Boloud, Rocco and Jean Georges are examples of white people who can put it down. I just think that PS/BH is not gonna have bomb chinese food, no matter what.
