Macaroni bake - what can I prepare ahead of time

I'm looking to rock a mac, cheese and bacon bake tomorrow, and would like to get a head start. If I cook the pasta and cheese sauce tonight, will it keep in the fridge? Could I do just the pasta? I don't want to deal with weird congealing issues.

I'll be baking it tomorrow regardless.
