Still have yet to find a great (or even a good) Mac N Cheese in this city.
Personally, I prefer my Mac N Cheese to be rich and tasty with a good burnt crust on top. I do not like the goop they serve out of metal trays at most bbq places - although I do like the bbq.
My ultimate Mac N Cheese was the one served by a restaurant in NYC - cannot remember the name but it was in Soho on Mercer across the street from the Mercer Hotel.
Some of the places I have tried the Mac N Cheese in LA include:
- Kate Mantolinis
- Luxe Hotel in BH
- Cafe des Artiste
- every bbq place in LA
Problem is that all really lack flavor - I end up smothering with ketchup.
