LV Trip Report: Andre's

This is, of course, Las Vegas' original french restaurant downtown.

Appetizer was Escargots de Bourgogne: Traditional Imported French Escargots in Garlic Butter and Herbs. Very flavorful and not overdone...so the snails were tender.

Soup of the day was a cream of mushroom which was extremely rich...and delicious.

I had one of their signature entrees, Oven Roasted Domestic Rack of Lamb, Whole Grain Mustard Sauce
Celery Root Mousseline and Dried Sour Cherry and Pistachio Baklava. Lamb medium rare, just as ordered. Nice presentation and very good.

As good as the food was, there were several slips in service that were unacceptable at these prices (and level of pretention). I would still return, but I'm afraid I can only give Andre's a B- for this visit.
