LV: Payard Patisserie Questions

I've been to the Payard in N.Y. a couple of times but it's been several years since my last visit. We'll be in Vegas the week after next for a very quick trip, just two nights, but I'll have a free morning while my husband is working. I'm wondering if Payard is a good place for a solo breakfast. Do they have cooked dishes as well? Has anyone tried the croissant or pain au chocolat or the like? Worth the calories? I usually skip breakfast in Vegas altogether, except for coffee, so I can spend my calories on nice lunches and dinners. That day we'll be having lunch at Lindo Michoacan (most likely) and dinner at Rosemary's (definitely) so the pastries would have to be really special. Compare and contrast with Lenotre and/or Jean-Philippe? How's the coffee? Would I be better off trying it for an afternoon snack? Any patisserie items that really shine? Finally, where exactly in Caesars is it? We briefly looked for it last visit, in December, in the new part of the Forum shops, but that wasn't right and we didn't make much of an effort to search it out. I guess it's in the hotel?
