I am giving a going-away party for a friend who is moving to Luxembourg, and would like to serve some appetizers and/or desserts that are SIMPLE to prepare for a group, and typical of the country's cuisine. I've seen several references to a plum tart (tarte aux quetsches) I might try, but this will be an open house for about 50 people...Any suggestions, world travelers?
I've also read that Luxembourg has some lovely white wines. Are any of you familiar with some brands that are available in the US? I haven't had much luck on the internet so far.
