Sweet joy of joys, I was walking back to the office with an order of minced pork w/spicy noodles from Wing's in Chinatown (last time I tried this I lost most of the sauce en route so I am resampling) and what do I spy near the old Thai Binh but a big sign reading "Lu's Sandwich Shop" and "Grand Opening". I stop by, unfortunately with a lunch in my hands already, and inquire. Sure enough, they're the Thai Binh gang and they just opened up this little nook about 4 days ago. It's a tiny little counter actually located in the jewelry store, on the wall closest to the old Thai Binh. They've got cold cut and barbequed beef, as always.
I'll be back, most likely tomorrow, most likely to try one of each.
It's on the little alley perpendicular to Beach Street, between Washington & Harrison.
