I'll be in the Bay Area in April and I need recommendations for a couple of great lunch spots in San Francisco. I lived in Marin and worked in the city several years ago but I know a lot has changed. I'm now living on the East Coast and given the total lack of good ones here, all I really want to do while I'm in San Francisco is eat burritos! But I guess inviting friends from San Francisco to lunch and then taking them to a taqueria is not exactly endearing.
Not picky about cuisine types. I'm just as happy with a great soup & sandwich shop as I am a farm to table restaurant if the food is good. It might be nice to be in an area good for walking and shopping a bit after lunch. We'll definitely be hitting up City Lights and Golden Gate Park.
I'm willing to go anywhere but for the sake of narrowing down the choices maybe North Beach or the Mission would be a good place to start? I'll go wherever the good food takes me. Thanks!
