been here since last monday night. Tuesday lunch at Restaurante Galeria next block up from police station, daily specials, many locals. I had grilled sea bass, very good and best homemade creme caramel, glass of housewife (.75), total 10.25 euros. Wednesday was Restaurante B & B, grilled sea bream, good again, roast potatoes and very nice salad, asked for more, no problem. Small bottle house wine 8 euros, apparently can't order by glass, total 20.50, cash only. Thurrsay was Dom Pedro 1 within sight of b & b. Daily specials 5.8 and 7.50 looked super. Had ala carte grill sea bass, great, glass f house wine and excellent homemade creme caramel, total 13.70. Friday lunch was Duke Restaurante & Pub in square beside Hotel Baia. Grilled octopus and roast potatoes, very accommodating when I asked for more veggies, even sautéed the boiled broccoli & carrots which were actually quite nice as is. Flan was ok, total 16,95 including glass f house wine. Saturday i went to O Pescador across from hotrl baia. Maria and Pedro both v friendly & helpful. Had grilled seordfish. When I requested no potatoes, got generous serving nice veg. Lunch menu intriguing, tuna & swordfish carpaccio especially tempting. Open 12:30 lunch, 7 dinner. Website bit misleading on times and they are NOT closed Sunday's as stated on site. Drunken pear was nice. Glass wine, pear, swordfish, total 28 euros. Tomorrow is last lunch, so many choices!
Tried canned sardines, very yummy. Bringing back a few cans fr 8 yr old foodie nephew Improement from gelato he requested few yrs back, didn't mind if it melted.
