I'm down in the Wall Street area for a class all week and as I rarely get to Manhattan, I am looking for some "don't miss this" recommendations (yeah I should have asked sooner, oh well). I had falafel at Alfanoose today, and it was wonderful, as I expected (I had read posts about it here) and since it's a holiday the line was nice and short (I may try to go back later in the week). Looking for suggestions of Thai, Indian (I walked into Diwan on William Street and it smelled good and was fairly busy), etc. I may not have enough time during lunch to get up to Chinatown and eat and get back in time (I only have an hour). Is the sushi at Daikichi any good or is there someplace else to try instead?
My class lets out early on Friday so I could do a nice lunch then. Sadly, Restaurant Week is not until next week, so I guess no $20.03 lunch for me on Friday.
