Lunch With a View?

Thinking about doing a special lunch and splurging at a nice place with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Was looking at Girafe but sensing a lot of noise.

Other ideas? Can we show up casually dressed for lunch at Shangri La or Peninsula (you can in LA)? We could always regroup at home base to get dressed but better if we can just go there after our morning walk.

Any thoughts appreciated. Merci.

I go often to Girafe for expense account lunches... like it a lot... never experienced a noise problem but I hear there is a risk of over-privileged drunks late night.

As long as you not dressed like going to the beach, casual is fine. A hint of style even if very casual is not impossible though.

The restaurants at the Shangri-la have no view.

And thx again on all .... good to know tho you have had good experiences at Girafe. I’m leaning toward L'Oiseau Blanc, however, as I’m a huge fan of Peninsula and haven’t been to this property. Hopefully a colleague can sort a good table for us. Merci

        1. TrishUntrapped re: davidcotyalex I guess I'm lucky. I didn't have a colleague to sort a good table for us and still managed to score a table with a view.

I too managed to have a very pleasant conversation with a gentleman who indicated that since we are the first booking for that date they would reserve us one of the better tables. I love that company ... such a good job all the way around but particularly service.
