i've started a 'lunch club' to introduce my uc hastings classmates to the delights of the sf food scene, which can have a lot to offer to those of us who are almost entirely without disposable income. as a native san franciscan, i felt like it was my duty.
for our first lunch tomorrow, i am planning to conduct an expedition from school to the banh mi on larkin. the question is saigon sandwich, wrap delight, or baguette express? there seems to be a good deal of discussion about these, and i figure we'll try them all eventually, but perhaps there are thoughts on our first meal.
other ideas are most welcome too! the thread about food near the asian art museum applies to us, but we certainly can't afford places like absinthe.
where's the pho? (i never notice the names!)
what's the name of that kebab place next to pagolac?
silly to ask, but are there burritos around at all?
thanks to one and all!
