Following up on J. Gold's best eats of 2009, where he recommends Shufeng's for the best Dan Dan Mian around, I tried it.

I've never eaten it before, so I have nothing to base it's taste on. It was pleasantly spicy, leaving a slight heat sensation in my mouth. It's cost: $4.50.

I also had their Cucumber with Shredded Garlic ($3.95). It is probably the best cucumber I have ever eaten - anywhere !!

They served me a bowl of clear, peppery soup, which wasn't included with my meal; gratis.

They have a huge list of lunch specials with include soup and rice. Priced from $4.95 to 6.95.
Observing other eaters, the portions looked ample.
